ANDROGRAPHIS (sambiloto)
The 'king of bitters'

Andrographis paniculata (also known as Indian echinacea), has a long history of use in both Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurvedic medicine. It is a plant native to South Asian countries such as India and Sri Lanka and is distributed in different regions of Southeast Asia, China, America, the West Indies, and Christmas Island.
Andrographis has been used medicinally for thousands of years in traditional and folk medicine across Asia, including India, China, and Thailand and has been incorporated into various herbal formulations aimed at enhancing vitality and combating chronic illnesses.
In India, Andrographis is often associated with healing and protection and is included in traditional rituals and ceremonies, reflecting the deep-rooted reverence for its therapeutic properties. It was also used as a protective charm against evil spirits and negative energies, symbolising its role in safeguarding health and well-being.
