FRANKINCENSE - essential oil
Could this incredible oil be an answer to cancer?

Frankincense has been traded for more than 5000 years and was one of the consecrated incenses described in the Hebrew bible and was used in Judaic ceremonies. It was one of the biblical ingredients in the perfume of the sanctuary, and was used as an accompaniment of the meal-offering. Used in ketorek incense, it was a symbol of the Divine name and an emblem of prayer. It was often associated with myrrh and with it was offered to infant Jesus. Frankincense is used in many Christian churches, and Christian and Islamic faiths have all used frankincense mixed with oils to anoint newborn infants, initiates and members entering into new phases of their spiritual lives.
There are several types of frankincense, but three notable varieties are Boswellia carterii, Boswellia sacra, and Boswellia frereana.
Boswellia carterii: This type of frankincense grows in Somalia and is considered one of the top-quality types available on the market today. It is often extracted by steam distillation and has a deep, spicy, balsamic aroma with a light citrus undertone.
Boswellia sacra: This species produces the highest quality resin and is highly endangered due to over exploitation. It is mainly found in the Dhofar Valley in Oman and is known for its rich, woodsy aroma and high levels of alpha-pinene.
Boswellia frereana: Nicknamed the "king of all frankincense," it grows in Somalia at high elevations and is one of the rarer types of frankincense essential oil. It has a fresh, woody-pine aroma with hints of citrus.
Each type of frankincense has its own unique properties and benefits, making them suitable for various uses in aromatherapy and traditional medicine.
