NONI

Morinda citriflora or Indian mulberry has been prized for thousands of years for it's health benefits

NONI

Noni (morinda citriflora) fruit and juice have been prized for their medicinal properties for more than 2000 years in Polynesia, China and India and is now receiving major interest in the west.

Noni has astounding and life-changing health related benefits, and while the fruit and its juice offer the greatest benefits, Noni powder is also effective. Other parts of the noni plant such as bark, leaves and roots too have a long history of traditional usage in Polynesia.

While fermentation is a traditional method used to process noni juice (I've only ever taken fermented noni juice), some research shows that many of noni's health benefits are lost during this process because during fermentation, microorganisms can degrade the bioactive components of noni juice, such as polysaccharides and phenols, which can alter the nutritional profile. However, some studies suggest that fermentation can also increase the concentration of certain bioactive components, such as flavonoids. So, despite the potential loss of some benefits, fermented noni juice is still highly valued for its medicinal properties and is used as a nutritional supplement by millions.

Noni juice is often consumed in its fermented form, and it is recommended to take it in shots rather than mixing it with other juices or smoothies because 1. it tastes truly disgusting and 2. only a small amount is needed daily. The juice is typically fermented for several months, and it is important to store it properly to maintain its quality.
