~ Connection ~

(thoughts from a Somatic Telepathy workshop)

I really struggled to give this presentation / workshop a name. The event organisers titled it: 'Tuning in to the body', but I had a grander plan and I didn't want to frighten off the 'poo-poo woo-woo' peeps, so that title stuck ... Some names I came up with were:

'Telepathic Communication' …

or

‘You can do this stuff without being autistic' …

or

'Tuning out, tuning in, Somatic telepathy 101' ...

***

Before we get to the fun part there are some things I’d like to share about ‘connection’ … because ‘connection’ is not only at the root of telepathic communication; for me, it’s at the root of our earthly existence in this incredible realm. So I’m going to offer you an idea of the kind of choices I’ve made to fulfil my own desires to connect, and hone skills in me that I believe are inherent in just about all of us.

So, what IS ‘being connected?

Is it networking through social media channels because scrolling through other people’s lives, and exchanging digital love hearts and prayer hands feels good?

Is it joining a club or group because you’re lonely or unfit or lacking the discipline to do something on your own?

Is it phoning your family on their birthdays because you miss them?

Is is hosting your friends at your home for a meal or ceremonies or working bees?

Is it watching amazing documentaries or listening to podcasts about things that move and inspire you?

Or

Is it learning meditation? Or carpentry? Or breathwork? Or yoga? Or knitting?

Is it taking the time out of your busy schedule to make some ‘me time’ for yourself?

Is it going to festivals and events to meet ‘like minded’ people?

Is it donating to your favourite cause and feeling really good about it?

Is it indulging in a well earned holiday and relaxing with a book beside a pool for 10 days?

Is it doing a 14 day juice fast and cleanse?

Is it taking in - reading or watching or listening to as much as you can about spirituality, self-awareness, nutrition, mental health, making your own sourdough and living off-grid?

Or

Is it being given a fish by a wild dolphin and knowing why he’s chosen you?

Is it preening a young, solitary gibbon through the wires of a cage because you know he’s never been preened by another gibbon before?

Preening a young gibbon
Young gibbon loving a preen through the wires

Is it seeing a cassowary in an enclosure and receiving the message that she’s thirsty and then responding to her need by finding and filling her empty bucket with water?

Is it walking a little old dog on a quiet country road and suddenly stepping in front of him without thinking, to protect him a split second before he gets attacked by a big young dog that neither of you saw or heard approaching him?

Is it being touched by a new born humpback whale’s flipper because you know he wants to feel your skin?

Is it creating a holographic energetic field on a desk in a room on the third floor of your friend’s house and ‘tuning in to her’, while she sleeps, 8000 kilometres away, only to have her beloved dog come up three flights of stairs (which he NEVER does) and scratch on the closed door and whine to be let in to see her, because he thinks she’s in the room?

Is it feeling sensations in your body or seeing images or hearing words in your mind’s eye that you know aren’t your own, yet you also know exactly whose they are because you’ve learned how to discern the thoughts and feelings in your own mind and body?

Is it giving your undivided attention to a little scratch in the sand and in your mind’s eye, seeing a female lizard on top of the river bank that houses her clutch of eggs?

Is it receiving information from a dog (who’s been reported lost by his frantic owner), that he’s been off exploring, having a ball out and about, but he’s now at the bottom of a deep hole looking up at a light and is very thirsty but he’s OK. Is it learning from this dog’s human that there are ancient silver mines in this part of rural Greece which hold the bodies of similar dog explorers, but whose fate differs from his – because he eventually returns to his human, thinner, covered in the stench of carcass, with his toenails shredded from clawing his way out of a mine shaft.

Is it knowing that an old cat on the other side of earth is not ready to ‘receive help’ to pass on Monday, but she’s decided she’s ready to receive that help on Tuesday.

Is it putting your hand onto the ‘holographic’ feet of a client 1500 kilometres away and seeing images, hearing words and feeling sensations that your client immediately understands when you relay them to her?

Is it feeling what it’s like to be a ‘dead person’, or an amputee, or a house, or a country, or a paedophile father, or a drug addicted mother, or ‘money’, or even ‘god’ because you are embodying them during a family constellation?

Is it seeing a mangy, three legged scrap of a dog limping along the side of the road and despite what your eyes are screaming at you, knowing he’s super happy and loves his life?

Is it seeing an elephant dying in a lake, slowly drowning because (as he tells you), he broke his leg, yet you know that he’s in a deep state of peace, despite the internal dialogue going on in your brain (through your eyes), that’s telling you he must be ‘suffering’? Is it waking the next day with a strong sense that his heart and breathing have stopped? Is it weeping tears of awe when you are told that a bloat of hippos encircled that young bull elephant for four days, allowing his spirit to be completely released from his body before the crocodiles came in to ‘play their part’ in the web-of-life?

In fact, being connected is ALL of these things.

ree

BUT, we each make vastly different choices that are aligned with

our personal desire to fulfil our primal need to connect.

Choices that have an impact on the entire web-of-life without most of us offering them a single thought.

And while I DO grapple with my own choices and decisions and needs and desires to ‘connect’, I also understand that for me to live a satisfied life, it’s about my choices being informed by a ‘knowingness’ that my decisions are connected with the web-of-life, because for me this wonderful-web-of-life has been created for me to be a part of…

This knowingness that simply holds no space for ‘perception’ or ‘dogma’ or ‘opinion’ - truly feeling, sensing, hearing, seeing, caring for & responding to the entire web of life ignites not only an unsurpassable self-awareness within me, but also a deeper compassion and patience for my ‘disconnected’, ‘melancholic’ and fundamentally ‘lost’ human brethren.

So for me, the connections I like to foster are about creating and partaking in balanced communications that birth from a neutral, yet unconditionally loving place.

In sync with the ‘natural laws’ that gently govern seemingly every non-human being in this world-wide-web of life, from rock to river, seed to rain forest, amoeba to elephant.

So why are we humans collectively obsessed with focusing on a prescribed list of what I call ‘surface connections’?

What’s stopping us from piercing the barriers to entering this web-of-life as a participant and not just an observer?

Why are we so seemingly incapable of discerning ‘what is true’, ‘what is me’, ‘what is my story’, ‘what are my own thoughts and sensations’ & ‘what are NOT my own thoughts and sensations’?

What is the drowning elephant really teaching me?

Perhaps this ‘stuckness’ in 'surface connections' is:

~ because we haven’t honoured our ancestral capacity to communicate with everything (seen and unseen) in the web of life?

Perhaps it’s:

~ because of our belief that we are not of any real intrinsic value to earth and that our earth would be far better off if we humans weren’t around ?… I call this self limiting belief the ‘parasite syndrome’

Perhaps it’s:

- because we’re focused on connecting to the egregores (which are merely collective thought patterns about such mythical things as extra-terrestrials like the Pleideans or ancient civilisations like Atlantis, Galactic federations, archangelic orders, or ascended masters, or constructs around being ‘chosen’, ‘activated’, or part of a ‘unique soul group’)?

Perhaps it’s:

~ our anthropocentrism … being ‘blinded by our belief that man strives to sit righteously at the top & centre of the universe, the only species capable of true connection to God’?

This same anthropocentric belief system that enables us to hate and fear mosquitoes ... cockroaches ... sharks, bats and spiders.

Perhaps our stuckness and disconnection leads us to to believe such things as :

- ‘those weeds need to die because they’re invasive and I follow good farming practices’

OR

-  ‘those ants are being such a pain in the arse with their little piles of dirt littering my lawn – but it’s nothing a pot of scalding water won’t solve, because y’know, I want a chemical free environment for my kids’ to run around on’ …

OR

- ‘Thankfully, I’ve cleaned out nearly all the brown snakes who’ve been basking in the sun on the rocks down at the creek for time immemorial, because I now own this land and I have a responsibility to keep my dog and kids safe and besides, my wife’s terrified of snakes …

OR

- ‘it’s OK that my cat’s a vegan, despite being the only truly carnivorous mammal on earth, because killing animals is cruel’  …

OR

- ‘I hate dogs and cats being allowed in rural areas. Introduced species have ruined this country’ ...

Perhaps our incapacity to truly connect with and take care of our web-of-life is because of our ...

Distraction … literally ... from EVERYTHING that really matters in this earthly realm.

So as newly awakened and aware peeps, we lift the veil and exit the rabbit hole, seeking to make connections with our ‘tribe’. We’ve chosen to connect with freedom, truth, righteousness, spirituality, a healthy mind, a healthy body, new and exciting practices and hacks and solutions, self sufficiency, self-awareness etc etc etc …

But where’s the awareness of the beings who’ve been patiently waiting for us

to start truly participating in our earthly realm?

The non-human beings who we have so much to learn from not just by looking at them or counting the numbers of them, or taking pictures of them, or training them or giving money to save them, or throwing them a stick ... but by engaging in an open and honest two way telepathic communication with them as equals, exactly the same way our ancestors did.

We are collectively craving true connection as a species, and it actually frustrates and saddens me somewhat to be surrounded by awakened and inspired people who’ve chosen to focus on freedom loving solutions that they believe ‘ll help save them from the grips of the oppressors and escort them safely to a new earth … but what about a seat at the table to connect with their earth bound, freedom loving, non-human brethren?

We have erected collective, anthropocentric barriers between human and non-human and we must start to transcend these invisible barriers if we truly wish to foster connections that matter.

Connections that inspire us to want to participate as caretakers in this earthly realm, not as terrified fighters and preppers.

For me,

nothing beats exercising the parts of me that foster these true connections and

it’s done simply, by tuning out and then tuning in.

So, how do we ‘become’ telepathic communicators???

While I always knew I had unexplored telepathic territory inside me, it wasn’t until my mid 30’s that I received undeniable truth that I could feel and see what was going on in other people’s minds. A single experience with a man I touched (as a mandatory part of my job at the time), who was actually mentally raping me, drove me into a place of sheer terror for years. But I’d been beaten awake and I simply couldn’t ignore this incredible thing that was a part of me, and is a part of all of us.

So I honed my telepathic skills through learning (well, remembering) and practising: animal communication for several years in Africa, water fasting, representing in literally hundreds and hundreds of family constellations in Indonesia, and through becoming a Biofield tuning practitioner in Australia.

While many in the telepathic world (especially the animal communicators), are trained in counselling, or even psychology (because these modalities tend to draw people who like to listen), for me, sharpening my telepathic skills meant that I had to let go of much of my own education and training in these modalities and literally tune out from the stories people so desperately wanted me to hear.

During family constellations, while ‘the question’ is being discussed I actually plug my ears with my fingers and hum quietly to myself – so I don’t hear the story.

During Biofield Tuning sessions, the ‘story’ is told by my clients only after I feel it myself and then ask my client for their perception of it. Because all too often, we become so focused on our connection with ‘the story of our pain and suffering’ that we become bound to that pain and suffering and we lose sight of our ‘true’, ‘authentic’ self – the one that is patiently waiting for us to embrace it.

Becoming aware of my authentic self means a LOT to me and this is why animal communication immersions deep in the wilds of southern Africa appealed so much – there is an honesty and clarity that comes from sleeping, unsheltered, under the stars in a remote part of a country far, far away from your own lands. Being in the wild with the wild ones is cathartic. They tell it like it is. Their traumas are more readily released and they are connected to ‘god’ in a way that we domestic ones must essentially, remember. And also for me, learning in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar animals was perfect for my own somatic telepathic journey.

But years before I made it to Africa, I watched a documentary about the African woman who became my mentor, which plunged me into a deep state of depression over the decades I’d lost truly communicating with my non-human loved ones, (I actually cried for weeks after watching that doco) ... but it was this ‘sense of loss’ that fuelled what became my obsession with knowing ‘how to do what my mentor did’ … and for years I even forced my nursing students to watch clips of it so that they too could start to see and feel their non-communicative patients through a more ‘telepathic lens’ …

~ Understanding that communication and connection isn’t just about the language we hear with our ears and the visuals we see with our eyes is foundational to telepathic communication ~

So while I discovered that the wild ones’ are really pretty easy to connect to and communicate with telepathically, when I started tuning in to we, the domestic ones, I had to work out even more ways to remove my own biases from what I was taking in. I call it – tuning in from a place of self aware neutrality, and it requires a kind of ritualistic release (tuning out) and focus (tuning in).

As I said, a knowingness of literally what is 'me' and what is 'you' and creating a type of ‘connective space’ that has us both in it … (My Biofield tuning practice actually provides an amazing platform to delve into this ‘me and you space’ even further).

For those of you who don’t know about Biofield Tuning, the biofield is seen as an electromagnetic field that surrounds, informs the body and reflects (or holds) the subtle energies of your lived and inherited experiences.

The human biofield
The human biofield feels almost like what a cross section of a tree trunk looks like

When the sound of my activated tuning fork or voice or even my intention enters this field, it interacts with areas of dissonance, and if the sound (or intention) is appropriate, it helps to: ~ bring these areas into a state of greater coherence,

~ resolve stored trauma (which is merely a dissonant frequency), and

~ restore balance to the body and its biofield …

It helps the body regulate, recalibrate, and remember its natural rhythms - restoring flow, clarity, and connection.

However, unlike the bulk of biofield tuning practitioners who are trained to listen to the sound that an activated tuning fork is making in the field, I use somatic telepathy -  tuning in to my clients using my mind and body as the tuning fork – I feel and see what they’re going through, what’s holding them back, what’s stored that isn’t serving, ancestral links and bonds, and connections that have informed their lives – all the dissonant energies.

***

I am ADAMANT that we do NOT need to have suffered: brain damaging mercury poisoning or a stroke or some form of trauma that causes us to dissociate from our bodies, in order to open up and start using the parts of us that have been reserved  for US, to use for telepathic communication.

I use exactly the same technique for inter-species communication as I do for Biofield tuning and family constellations representation. And for most of us, we absolutely have the capacity to become consciously aware of this ‘telepathic information’.

We just need to locate where those parts of our self is (because we all have different ways to relay and process telepathic information) and to start trusting that we have the ability to receive.

For the uninitiated, it can seem a little daunting to think about feeling the crappy energy of other people. In a world that’s obsessed with spiritual attacks and hooks and evil eyes and spells and ‘bad vibes’, why would we want to KNOW what’s truly going on all around us? Why? Because when we become aware of what WE are, we also become aware of what we are NOT, AND when we tune in and really focus (in a neutral state) on the big bad boogy man under the bed, that boogy man turns into a tiny puff of dust.

I KNOW that the severe chest pain I’m experiencing (while in my client’s biofield), that’s actually from their father who’s died of a heart attack decades earlier, is going to vanish as soon as I take my attention away from it.

I KNOW that the angry, inebriated, disconnected man I tune in to while tuning his daughter during a session, was a terrified little boy who’s heart was wrapped in the same anger, sadness and fear that was wrapped around his daughter’s heart AND, was also wrapped around his father’s heart, his grandfather’s heart, and his great grandfathers heart.

I KNOW that what I receive telepathically doesn’t require me to absorb it or be affected by it or retain it for future reference.

~ I can care about an other’s burden without carrying it ~

So I bear witness to it with my mind & body and it passes as soon as I decide for it to pass.

That said, it’s sometimes more challenging for me to receive telepathically from non-human beings than it is from humans, because their distress often carries more of a ‘presence. {I need to be mindful here, because I’m not talking about assuming an animal or plant is distressed based solely on their appearance. Not every animal caged in a shitty zoo doesn’t want to be there! Not every mangy, limping dog needs ‘help’.} I’m talking about being powerless to offer nothing more than a bucket of water to a thirsty cassowary, or a preen to a neglected gibbon, or an acknowledgement that ‘I SEE you’ from a neutral state, rather than a state that allows me to become overwhelmed by the abhorrent things humans do to all life.

But, I’ve chosen a path that connects me with the web-of-life and not just a human-centric experience in this realm, and the experiences, the absolute wisdom, compassion and peace I receive from my non-human brethren (regardless of the conditions human have created for them) is well worth it.

So, for those of us who are up for it, we can all start practising connection … telepathically  ...

Not only will practising telepathic connection open the door for you to start tuning in to your own body, it can help start you on a journey of:

- Knowing why your pet’s are behaving the way they are;

- Knowing what your plants are really wanting to tell you;

- Knowing what your loved ones (who aren’t physically able to use the ‘usual means’ of communication) are really wanting you to know;

- Knowing the true stories within rocks and crystals and how to use them as your allies

and

- above all, knowing how to start tuning in to and connecting and communicating with the entire web-of-life that is patiently waiting for you to connect with it ... from a tiny spider, to whale consciousness, to a footprint in the dust, to a seedling, to a puddle of water, to your loved ones, to ‘god’, to the authentic you inside of you …

The web-of-life hasn’t quite given up on us as a collective species, so there’s no better time to start embracing our telepathic abilities than right now!

So, when we start tuning in to each other, I urge you to not get bogged down by anything that your belief system may perceive as being ‘negative’ that you tune in to, because the fact remains - we are actually ALWAYS aware on some level of what’s truly going on behind the facades our eyes and ears see and hear…

There’s also the fact that it is YOU who sets the intention for what you’d like to receive. As a practitioner, my ritual is to intend to use my body as a hollow bone to receive from my client whatever is serving my client’s highest purpose – so I get the full gamut. Know that you will only receive what you choose to receive.

Know that releasing the vision or sound or sensation you’re tuning in to is as instantaneous as breathing it out and choosing to place your focus elsewhere.

Know that boogy men are puffs of dust.

Know that beneath our crap, we’re ALL beautiful beings.

And lastly …. please be mindful that when channelling information from another, we run the risk of picking up on the egregor or the story if the information we receive is filtered through our unconscious biases and spiritual expectations. We may unknowingly serve the egregor - promoting the constructed belief system while believing we’re serving the 'truth'.

Tuning in to non-human beingness
Tuning in to non-human beingness

So how do we stay focused?

  1. Discern frequency, not story

Ask: “What do I feel in my body / energetically when I connect with this?” While truth from resonant frequencies or ‘the divine’ feels neutral, clear, and empowering, dissonant frequencies may cause a change in your own emotional state – anger, sadness, worry, tiredness, ambivalence – the list is infinite.

  1. Release the need to be special. We are sacred simply by existing and there’s no mission more important than remembering who we truly are.

  2. Anchor into presence. The Earth doesn’t need saving (especially by extra terrestrial beings or a new leader!), it needs conscious, embodied humans grounded in love.

  3. Decentralise your spiritual subtle energy authority. No collective, council, or channelled being holds your truth. Only you do.

  4. Let your life be the conduit for inspiration. Heal by being. Activate others by walking your path with authenticity and love—not with pressure to awaken or enlighten them. Listen and speak without your ears and mouth.

The journey of awakening and exiting the rabbit hole is not about becoming something. It’s about unbecoming everything that isn’t truly you.

Let go of the roles. Let go of the saviour stories. Let go of the seductive myths.

Return to the still point within. From that place—your true divine essence—everything that’s meant to unfold will arise effortlessly, without needing to save, convince, or prove.

You are the frequency. Not the fixer.
